NYSACHO is happy to announce the 2020 New York State Adult Immunization Coalition Lunch and Learn Web Series.  Due to the ongoing efforts related to COVID-19, we will not be holding in-person Immunization Coalition Meetings.  Instead, we offer you an opportunity to meet virtually.  Grab some lunch and partake in an opportunity to learn adult vaccine updates from the comfort of your own home or office.  Each event will consist of a presentation followed by questions and answers.   These events are free and available to all adult immunization providers in New York State only.  Registration and save-the-date information is below.

Event:  Adult Immunization Update with the Centers for Disease Control and the New York State Department of Health

Date/Time:  Tuesday, September 29th from 11:00 -1:30.

Guest Speakers:  Dr. Andrew Kroger and Sarah Hershey, RN, BSN

 

Target Audience:  Adult immunization providers in New York State.

Learning Outcome: As a result of participating in the activity learners will expand their knowledge and competence in all areas of adult immunization.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe strategies to implement the Standards for Adult Immunization Practice.
  • Recommend vaccinations according to ACIP adult immunization schedule.
  • Identify indications, contraindications, and precautions to vaccination.
  • Recognize how to Vaccinate with Confidence
