The Annual Western New York Adult Immunization Coalition Meeting

Join us on October 6, 2022 at the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa for the Annual Western New York Adult Immunization Coalition Meeting.  This is a no fee meeting with morning coffee/tea and lunch included. 

This year’s Meeting will feature: NYSDOH Adult Immunization Update, CDC Adult Immunization Update, Q&A session with CDC and NYSDOH, HPV, NYSIIS, and Pharmacists as Immunizers.

Learning Outcome:

As a result of participation in this activity, the learners will increase and enhance knowledge and competence on adult immunization recommendations and strategies to increase immunization rates.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the Standards for Adult Immunization Practices
  • Identify 2 Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations for influenza vaccination
  • Identify 2 Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations for PCV20 or PCV15
  • Recognize the importance of COVID vaccine as related by a personal story from COVID-19 survivor.
  • Describe why HPV vaccination is important for cancer prevention
  • Identify appropriate HPV vaccination schedule/recommendations based on patient age.
  • Identify strategies to engage adults in sharing Health/Immunization Data
  • Recognize how Immunization data is Bi-Directional Exchange with Healthcare Organizations.
  • Recognize the vaccines that can be administered by pharmacists in NYS.
  • List the elements required for NYS pharmacists to administer vaccinations
