Responsibilities

Some, not all, job responsibilities are as follows:

Supervise Public Health programs, including but not limited to; Family Planning/Sexual Health, Communicable Disease, Immunization, Lead Prevention, Perinatal Hepatitis B;

Participate in Emergency Preparedness planning and drills;

Prepare all division budgets;

Keep policies and procedures current per NYS guidelines;

Assign, review and evaluate the work of clinical and clerical personnel;

Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and meetings;

Attend Board of Health meetings to report on public health issues and audits;

Communicate with the Medical Director on a routine basis.

Minimum Qualification

Master’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in nursing plus two years’ experience as an Registered Nurse.

Special Requirement

Licensure and current registration as a Registered Nurse in New York State. Possession of a valid New York State driver license.

Salary: $49,072.00 to $67,924 per year
