Responsibilities

Madison County seeks a full-time Nurse Epidemiologist responsible for overseeing and conducting the County’s epidemiologic investigations and disease intervention.  The incumbent implements procedures for surveillance of reportable communicable disease and health conditions.  The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Director of Community Health Services with leeway allowed for exercise of independent judgment.  The incumbent performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualification

A Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in nursing from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four-year college or university and three (3) years of full-time paid experience, or it’s part-time equivalent, in conducting data collections, analysis and reporting in support of surveillance and epidemiologic investigations.

Special Requirement

Current licensure and registration to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of New York at the time of application and maintenance of said license and registration for the duration of appointment

NOTE:  Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license at time of application and maintenance of said license for the duration of appointment.

Salary: $34.73/hr-$37.77/hr.
